With the intend to help identify and develop a project of international appeal that would leverage global collaboration and advocacy for urban development and the application of ICT and smart systems in particular, the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area is the pilot city to develop the World Smart Capital concept for the years 2012 and 2013.
